Eden Valley Poultry is seeking a skilled Assistant Controller to join their team. As the Assistant Controller, you will play a critical role in managing day-to-day financial accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and providing valuable information to their Controller. In this role, you will oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, prepare financial statements and internal audits for management and external stakeholders, and establish and maintain accounting principles and procedures. You will also monitor cost centers for accuracy, manage credit relationships, and demonstrate effective leadership and staff management skills. We are looking for a team player who communicates effectively, solves problems efficiently, and upholds high standards of accountability, dependability, and integrity.
For this position, you should possess a university degree in Business/Accounting or equivalent, with an advanced degree or professional accounting designation (CPA). A minimum of 4 years of accounting experience and extensive knowledge of corporate accounting and financial management are required. Strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics, and the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines are essential. Preference will be given to candidates with industry experience in food or live production operations, ensuring familiarity with the unique dynamics and requirements of these industries.
