The Role:
The Director of Recruitment and Retention plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's talent landscape. Reporting to the Vice President, People and Culture, this position involves leading and nurturing a dynamic team responsible for all facets of talent acquisition and retention. From guiding recruitment strategy to ensuring compliance with policies and legislation, the Director is tasked with fostering a positive candidate and hiring manager experience. Moreover, they will spearhead initiatives to tap into diverse talent pools, adapt recruitment strategies to market trends, and foster partnerships with key stakeholders, including Senior Operations Management teams. Balancing leadership, strategic thinking, and operational efficiency, this role is essential in driving Shannex's mission to attract and retain top-notch team members who embody the company's core values.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor’s Degree, with a concentration in Human Resources or relevant work experience. A minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years focused on recruitment and 3 years in a supervisory role, is required. Furthermore, you should possess the ability to cultivate strong relationships, lead teams with finesse, and efficiently manage and delegate tasks within a dynamic and fast-paced setting. Experience in international recruitment, immigration processes, healthcare sector, and unions is an asset.
