The Medical Society of Prince Edward Island (MSPEI) is the united voice of PEI physicians striving to create a high-quality and sustainable healthcare system of which both patients and physicians can be proud. MSPEI is a high-performing organization that deeply values professionalism, resourcefulness, and leadership, no matter what role you hold. Their work is grounded in creating impact and providing value.
Reporting to the Director, Communications and Strategy the Physician Navigator is responsible for retaining PEI Physicians by providing advice, support, and guidance to help them achieve high professional satisfaction. The Physician Navigator is responsible for providing timely and exceptional member service with a focus on continuously improving how the organization supports physicians based on their current work environments. The Physician Navigator will use its knowledge gained in offering one-on-one services to build and maintain broader on-demand programs (i.e., How to Guides or webinars) so more members can benefit from the organization’s guidance.
The Physician Navigator is a skilled and organized relationship builder who is passionate about client service. As the first point of contact, the Physician Navigator will help physicians define their needs and assess how MSPEI can best support them. The successful candidate has exceptional customer service skills, can tease out core issues within complex environments, and can juggle competing priorities, while keeping an eye on the big picture. Excellent oral and written communication skills are also essential in this role.
The successful candidate has demonstrated experience in and passion for customer and client service with an excellent track record in building strong relationships for collaborative decision-making. They have a university degree or college diploma in business or public administration, human resources, or equivalent training, education, and experience.
